Casino Di Venezia Hold Up

The beautiful and elegant three stories high Renaissance house was built in the late 15th century. As delicate as its classically inspired facade is, the interior beats it by its lavish architectural details, many paintings and sculptures. The ceilings, decorated by Mattia Bortoloni, is especially extravagant.

The casino opened here in the 1950s, moved from the Lido. It’s quite standard fare – roulettes, card tables and slot machines.

More interestingly, Richard Wagner lived here from 1882 to 1883, trying to recover from heart health issues (unfortunately, he succumbed to them instead). The museum dedicated to him here contains a replica of the sofa on which he suffered his final heart attack; his bedroom with letters and documents; and copies of scores he wrote more than 60 years before his death.

Casinò di Venezia: Ca’ Vendramin Calergi is one of two Casino di Venezia properties found in the fabulous city of Venice, with the other one being Casinò di Venezia: Ca’ Noghera. This location can be found inside of a historic palace that sits on the sublime Grand Canal in the Ca’ Vendramin Calergi area of the city.

Located in a historic part of the city with wonderful architecture you will never have to worry about sights and tourist spots to visit when you’re not playing at Casinò di Venezia: Ca’ Vendramin Calergi. The Marco Polo Airport is the closest airport to this historical casino and it’s only 13 KM away, so you will be able to travel between the two of them within 20-25 minutes. It did not move to its current location inside of the palace, however, until 1950.

There is a separate poker room that holds regular tournaments while you will also be able to enjoy tournaments of many of the other popular table games as well.
